Board renews annual Traffix MOU for student transportation

The San Ramon Valley Unified School District board approved the annual memorandum of understanding with Traffix, the joint powers authority partner that provides before- and after-school transportation.
Assistant Superintendent Morales said, "This is an MOU that we bring forward annually," and described Traffix as the district's partner in routes and transportation services. Trustees asked clarifying questions about how route priorities are determined and staff explained Traffix conducts traffic assessments periodically (roughly every seven years) while daily route optimization occurs more frequently. Trustee Rachel Heard noted Traffix is a JPA and the district is one member among others including local cities and the county.
There was no public comment and the board voted to renew the MOU for another year to continue existing transportation services.
