Blue World expands citizen‑science monitoring, education and cruise‑ship snorkel tours in Avalon

"For those that don't know me, my name is Kayla Fairhuller. I am the founder and president of Blue World," she said, and described programs that engage students, tourists and volunteers. Blue World runs science snorkel tours with cruise operators, which contribute a portion of proceeds to fund internships, research expeditions and educational programming.
Kayla said the group is expanding MPA Watch surveys to two MPAs in Avalon (Casino Point/Lovers Cove and Cat Harbor) and Emerald Bay, and plans more trainings this summer. She invited participants to sign up for volunteer surveys, internships and community events.
