Chief Cass told the council the website planned for selling the Tahoe did not have a reserve. Mayor Carl Bates said, “I think we should put it out for bids and see what we get.” Alderman Jeff Elliott moved to declare the 2019 Chevrolet Tahoe surplus and to take bids for sale; the motion passed 6–0.
The council did not set a specific minimum bid in open session; staff were directed to proceed with a public bid process and return any results to the council for final acceptance.
