Street Superintendent Eric Dauphin told the council the crew has finished replacing the culvert on Ridge Street and expects to complete the culvert at the corner of State Street and Washington Avenue by the end of the week.
Dauphin said the city will have Erickson Paving provide an estimate for paving Rapp Street by the library and City Hall and that the city plans to replace the storm gutter at Carroll Street at the same time. He also reported the city’s older backhoe has a hydraulic leak and the mechanic will inspect it this week.
The updates prompted no formal action but set staff priorities for culvert and sidewalk repairs and prepared an agenda item to consider paving costs at a future Finance meeting.
