Residents praise council help, promote Renaissance Faire; DDA updates NODE events

Several residents and managers used the meeting’s citizen-participation period to raise local concerns and promote community events. Judy Woodson of 1001 N. 7th St. thanked Councilmember Georgia Boggs and the council for help with a neighbor’s tree and asked for further help with elm trees. Pepper Miller, Niles DART Manager, announced the DART route change that will increase service from three to four trips and coordinate with Transpo.
Carrie Nyenhuis invited residents to the Niles Renaissance Faire (Saturday 10:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. and Sunday 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.). Lisa Croteau of the DDA updated the council on NODE events including 3rd Thursdays, 2nd Fridays and a monthly Urban Company Market. Councilmembers publicly acknowledged the comments and invited attendance at community events.
