The Lancaster County Board of Commissioners unanimously approved five resolutions on June 24 authorizing Next Generation Farm Loan projects with Industrial Development Authority financing for local farms.
The actions (Resolutions No. 33–37) authorized projects for John S. and Malinda F. Lapp (total project $1,311,000; IDA financing $561,000; location: 228 Gibble Hill Road, Quarryville, Bart Township), Mattilio Farms LLC (total project $2,250,000; IDA financing $682,000; 2089 Robert Fulton Highway, Peach Bottom, Fulton Township), Daniel S. and Mary L. Smucker (total project $1,600,000; IDA financing $682,000; 4240 Red Well Drive, Gordonville), Henry F. and Fannie G. Stoltzfus (total project $1,100,000; IDA financing $350,000; 234 Bartville Road, Kirkwood), and Eli B. and Tina R. Weaver (total project $600,000; IDA financing $600,000; 364 North Maple Avenue, Leola). Each resolution states the projects conform to the Pennsylvania Economic Development Financing Law and include public‑hearing documentation on file with the Penn Township Lancaster County Industrial Development Authority.
Commissioner Joshua G. Parsons moved the motions and Commissioner Alice Yoder seconded; motions passed unanimously. The resolutions include standard language that the County does not pledge its taxing power or become liable for payment of principal or interest on Authority obligations.
The approvals advance financing for local agricultural operations but do not, by themselves, create County debt or obligation beyond certifying eligibility and public‑hearing compliance under state law.
