Washtucna board hears year-end budget update; transportation costs appear lower than last year

The Washtucna School District board heard a year-end financial update focused on August figures and upcoming close-of-year entries. A staff member said the district's FY end-of-year report is due at the end of October and that final August numbers will change with journal entries.
"So they look really good, and, they'll change a little bit," the staff member said, adding that transportation costs for 2024–25 appear to be about $5,000–$6,000 less than last year at the same point. The presenter said final transportation numbers and the completed year-end report will be brought to the board next month for confirmation.
