Ilse Lee Public Library reports conditional occupancy and announces Aug. 29 grand opening

Dana, speaking for the Ilse Lee Public Library, told the Select Board the library received a conditional certificate of occupancy and has begun moving new shelving and furniture into the renovated building. The library will start relocation next week and plans a grand opening event on Aug. 29; library operations will resume regular extended hours once the move is complete.
Dana said the library contracted moving services and will offer temporary extended hours at a branch location during the transition; the Duclos building will close to the public Aug. 8 and the library will pause returns for that period, warning patrons that no overdue fines will be assessed during the move. "We got our conditional certificate of occupancy last week, so we can start moving in," Dana said (speaker 12).
The board thanked library staff and volunteers and discussed volunteer logistics for the book-cart parade planned for Aug. 6 as part of the move celebration.
