The council voted unanimously to adopt names for five trail segments put forward by the Parks, Recreation and Open Space Board. PRAB recommended practical, place‑based names intended to help wayfinding and to reflect local features: Monarch Trail, Castle Pines Parkway Trail, Buffalo Way, Daniels Gate (and its offshoot Daniel Spur), and PowerEdge (the segment near power lines).
Parks staff said the names were developed with public input and with an eye toward clear wayfinding for residents of all ages. Council members praised the PRAB process and the chosen names. The resolution passed without opposition.
