Capital Projects Operations Manager Jay Raulback presented Ordinance 25‑10 on Oct. 14, asking the council to adopt by reference the 2025 edition of the Castle Pines roadway design and construction standards. Raulback said the update incorporated new technical specifications from consulting engineers, removed redundant cross references, and improved ADA and signal‑engineering guidance.
Council members described the changes as largely technical and procedural. One councilor thanked staff for streamlining the standards and said the change will make permitting and project acceptance more efficient. The council adopted Ordinance 25‑10 on second reading in a recorded vote.
The ordinance will take effect per the standard schedule for code adoptions; staff said the updated standards are intended to make design and construction expectations clearer for developers and contractors.
