The Washington County Board of Commissioners approved the overall bid package for the new public safety building in the total amount of $41,217,850, the purchasing representative reported.
Purchasing staff told the board all recommended bids met required specifications and were the lowest, most responsive and responsible bids received; bid review was conducted by project management, purchasing, and NEI Burns Scalo. The purchasing representative moved the overall package; the motion was seconded and approved by roll call.
The county will pay the package from 2024 general obligation bond funds and capital expenditure reserve funds. With the awards passed, staff said they will proceed with contract finalization and coordination for construction sequencing.
