The Cass County Commission approved Resolution 26-66 on July 15 to authorize the county's annual contract with the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services to provide WIC nutrition services locally.
A staff member identified by the chair as Matt described the agreement as "about $261,000 and change," saying most of the funds will pay salaries and fringe benefits while a smaller share will cover rent and overhead. The resolution passed on a recorded vote of 2-0. The health department will administer program services under the state's pricing structure and the county will continue annual contract renewals.
