Commissioners award $5.37 million HVAC contract for public safety building to Lagala Mechanical

The board approved the mechanical (HVAC) contract for the new Washington County public safety building, awarding $5,374,000 to Lagala Mechanical of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the purchasing representative said.
"This recommended bid met required specifications and was the lowest most responsive and responsible bid received," the purchasing representative said when presenting the award. Commissioners moved, seconded and approved the recommendation by roll call.
County staff said the HVAC award would be paid with 2024 general obligation bond funds and capital expenditure reserve funds, consistent with the other procurement decisions on the agenda. The award advances the construction procurement to the contracting and scheduling phase.
