Organizers and county emergency staff outline Rock the Plains plans; commissioners request insurance update

Coleman Younger of Rock the Plains joined by Zoom to update the commission on event planning. Younger said the planning team is meeting weekly and coordinating closely with partners.
Emergency Management Coordinator Amy Terrapin and Undersheriff Chris Herbel reported that Terrapin and Herbel have worked on the operations and communications plan for the event; the National Weather Service plans to be onsite, AMR is preparing the medical plan and volunteer fire departments will assist with first aid. Commissioners asked that an update on the event insurance policy be provided to Commissioner Nancy Hier as soon as possible.
