Staff explained that the district cannot spend more on a capital project than was budgeted the prior July and proposed a resolution to increase the capital projects appropriation by $607,000 to accommodate invoices as construction proceeds. A board member moved to approve "the capital budget's project extension resolution 25 0 2," and the motion carried by voice vote.
Directors and staff noted the district has a small balance in the capital projects fund and that some project payments may be paid in the following fiscal year, but the appropriation increase will allow the district to accept and pay invoices as work is completed.
