One board member summarized the district view: "Our teachers believe that those same kind of conversations can happen at a student led conference, and we feel like it's important for so we do these at secondary level..."
Another director emphasized the importance of ensuring parents and teachers remain in direct communication: "I think it's also important, though, for the children to understand that parents and teachers communicate, and everyone needs to be on the same page for someone's learning." Staff said they would continue messaging about the purpose of student‑led conferencing and invited the parent to attend upcoming sessions.
