Planning Commission forwards two Conditional Use Permit matters to county hearing July 6

Zoning Administrator Josh Falk reported two Conditional Use Permit items the Planning Commission addressed last week and said the County Commission will hold hearings on both applications on Monday, July 6.
Falk said the Planning Commission approved Tillman Infrastructure's request for a guyed tower near Maple Hill but asked that space on the tower be allowed for County use. By contrast, a CUP filed by Donna Warren, Robert Warren and Sierra Warren for boat storage, regular storage, a liquor store and a boutique at 24004 K99 Hwy in Alma was denied by the Planning Commission by a 7‑1 vote. Falk told commissioners that concerns raised included access to onsite utilities and traffic flow from the nearby lake and neighboring properties.
