The Beaver County Board of County Commissioners approved a series of routine financial and intergovernmental items at its June 2 meeting, including payment of county bills and authorization of prior meeting minutes.
"Motion to approve County Bills was made by Comm. Pearson (aye), seconded by Comm. Yardley (aye), and the vote was made unanimous," the minutes state. Commissioners Wade Hollingshead (chair), Tammy Pearson and Brandon Yardley voted to authorize the actions.
The board also ratified amended memoranda of understanding with the Utah Division of Forestry, Fire and State Lands to explicitly include Fire District #1 and Fire District #2. Both ratifications were passed by unanimous vote after motions by Commissioners Pearson and Yardley. The commission additionally authorized signature on an Inland Port Tax Sharing Agreement by a unanimous motion.
Clerk/Auditor Ginger McMullin handled the administrative items and recorded roll-call votes where required. No fiscal amounts were disclosed during the recorded motions.
The actions formalize the county's participation in intergovernmental fire coordination and the regional tax-sharing arrangement; staff will file the signed agreements and update the county contract logs.
