After heavy rains, Wabaunsee County Road & Bridge crews concentrated on storm-related repairs. Supervisor Josh Hinch said the crew schedule is dominated by repairs, hauling rock and clearing debris; Windy Hill Road work is wrapping up and crews will then move to Vera Road and Warren Road to install several tubes.
Hinch also reported a collapsed culvert on Wells Creek Road will be replaced before the county begins dust control applications. He said he is meeting this week with the Kansas Division of Emergency Management (KDEM) to determine the impact of storms and the potential for assistance in recovery.
