Road & Bridge Supervisor Josh Hinch told the Wabaunsee County Commission that recent storms damaged a concrete crossing off Old K-10 Road that serves six property owners, including one residence. "The concrete structure is failing, it is the only access to the properties," Hinch said, and he presented pricing to set three culverts to restore access.
Hinch said the three‑culvert solution is intended as a durable repair: "I believe this is a 50 year fix to the crossing." Commissioners heard that the repair is urgent because it is the only access for the affected properties. The board did not record a formal vote on this item in the minutes; staff will return with contracting or procurement details as needed.
