Davis Community Center Director Bandemer told the council membership numbers have increased with the weather change and listed upcoming events including a free community day, a Silver Sneakers potluck, a 5K Pumpkinfest walk/run and another pickleball tournament. She said pickup for the Mini Food Center at Sauk Valley is going well and volunteers have helped with driving and unloading donations.
Bandemer requested purchase of a battery-operated snowblower for sidewalks—"She found one at Savanna True Value for $699.00"—and said acoustic sound still needs to be installed in the workout room with an estimated cost around $6,500. She also thanked Shaw's Marketplace for their donation of 60 loaves of bread and noted a donation can is on site at the store.
