City superintendent says new sewer jetter already helping; Well #3 running at about 50% consistency

Water and Sewer Superintendent Jonathan Armstrong updated the Mount Carroll City Council that the department has started using a newly purchased sewer jetter and that it has already been used on maintenance runs. Armstrong told the council, "we have used it a couple of times now for maintenance and it is going to help a lot." He also reported crews replaced a fire hydrant on Washington Avenue to address water quality issues.
Armstrong said Phase 3 punch list work is complete pending continuity testing and that Well #3 has been operating at only about 50% consistency; he showed photos to the Council to illustrate the issue. Council did not take separate action on Well #3 at this meeting beyond noting the department will continue testing and monitoring.
