County restores $3,000 dental maximum for employees after insurer update

Copple told the Board that broker Bukaty "was able to save the county an additional 2% on the cost." Commissioner Duane Morris moved to reinstate the $3,000 dental maximum; Commissioner Carla Grund seconded the motion and it passed 3-0. Copple said the higher dental benefit has been in place for a long time and argued it is a significant employee benefit and a recruiting/sustaining point for staff.
The Commission did not provide a detailed utilization report at the meeting; when Commissioner Grund asked how many employees had used the higher benefit, Copple said she did not have that information available.
