County signs lease for three dump trucks; discusses bridge plaque and $24,000 tire-recycling cost

Smith said the county’s overall payment will be lower than originally estimated because the first payment will be due in four months rather than 12 months from origination; the Commission signed the paperwork during the meeting.
Smith also reported that the new bridge west of Minneapolis will include a brass plaque bearing the commissioners' names at no cost to the county, and that tire-recycling costs are expected to be about $24,000, comparable to last year. Commissioners discussed alternative rock types and micro-surfacing used by neighboring counties and noted possible additional budget allocation for road and bridge work.
