County adopts ordinance re-adopting code and approves regional planning contributions

On motion by Meek, seconded by House, the Van Buren County Board of Supervisors adopted Ordinance #2025-1, re-adopting the existing County Code of Ordinances as published Dec. 12, 2025. The roll call recorded Waugh as not present and House and Meek voting Aye.
The board also passed Resolution #01-02-2026F to contribute $0.55 per capita (total $2,247.30) to the Area 15 Regional Planning Commission for operating costs; Resolution #01-02-2026G committing a base contribution of $1,441.00 to the AHEAD Regional Housing Trust Fund contingent on FY27 funding; and Resolution #01-02-2026H agreeing to a FY27 RPA 15 local match share of $3,358. The minutes list the estimated RPA 15 federal highway funds for FY27 ($2,824,000) and Van Buren County's estimated share ($305,475) as context for the local match calculation.
