The Board reviewed an extensive list of vacancies across town boards and commissions, including openings on the Board of Education, Board of Finance, Affordable Housing Commission, Inland Wetlands and Watercourses Commission (three vacancies), Firefighter Benefit Committee, Investment Advisory Committee, Central Regional Tourism District, Lower Connecticut River Valley Trust, Neighborhood Assistance Committee, and the Regional Agriculture Council.
The Board appointed Doug O'Rourke to the Regional Agriculture Council by unanimous vote (Motion: Bob Yamartino; Second: Susan McNamara). Board members said they plan to advertise all remaining vacancies in the September town newsletter, and a resident interested in the Board of Finance vacancy will meet with the Board before the August meeting.
