Rosemary Moring told the council that the portable at Mattock Park, used by the Katzurina Women's Club, has an AC unit that fails to deliver cool air despite running; she said the thermostat reads 77 but interior temperatures were as high as the mid-80s during recent use and that she had reported the problem since October.
Eddie Crockett, staff, responded that the manager approved the replacement as an emergency a few days earlier and that the unit has been ordered; he said staff had not wanted to fully close the facility while waiting for the replacement. "The unit was last replaced in 2004, but it has been ordered," he said. Moring thanked staff and said the facility is decorated for a party on the 14th.
