Lantana council elects Chris Castle as vice mayor, names Jesse Rivera vice mayor pro tem

The Lantana Town Council on March 23 approved its leadership lineup for the coming term. Following nominations, the council moved and voted to appoint Chris Castle as vice mayor and Jesse Rivera as vice mayor pro tem.
Council member Kim Mason made and seconded motions during the leadership selections. When asked for further discussion, the mayor called for the vote; both motions carried unanimously with the council responding 'aye'.
The appointments complete the council’s customary rotation of internal leadership roles and preceded other organizational business, including committee assignments and the designation of the mayor as the town’s League of Cities delegate.
