Lantana swears in reelected council members Mark Zeitler and Chris Castle

Town Clerk Kathleen Dominguez told the council that Mark Zeitler (Group 3) and Chris Castle (Group 4) met the qualifying requirements and were elected without opposition, with new terms that commenced March 11, 2026. The clerk also noted refreshments would follow the meeting’s adjournment.
Council members were sworn in during a short ceremony. Chris Castle, who attended the meeting remotely because he was at a conference, said it was “a privilege and an honor to be able to serve the community still,” and pledged to do his best to help the town. Mark Zeitler declined further public comment after the oath.
Mayor Karen Lithgow noted Castle had been sworn in earlier by the town attorney because of the scheduling conflict. The swearing-in was followed by routine organizational business and committee assignments.
