First Selectman: roof and solar projects approved; TRIP grant denied for lacking 'rural character'

He said the TRIP Grant application was not approved 'due to the feedback showing that Suffield did not meet the rural character requirement.' Moll told the board the Middle School and Firehouse projects will be revisited at the Sept. 14, 2026 meeting.
Moll also reported that the landfill permit fee increased from $25 to $50. The minutes do not include grant application materials, the dollar value of the roof/solar projects, or the specific reasons cited by the TRIP program beyond the 'rural character' feedback noted in the minutes.
