Commission adopts multiple personnel policy updates
Summary
The commission approved a set of personnel and related policies after a review by the county clerk and HR: policies covering equal opportunity, ADA accommodations, progressive discipline, involuntary termination, wages and salary administration, and others were approved (vote 3-0).
County Clerk Tammi Cox reviewed proposed updates and a reworking of the personnel policy manual, including policies 10-01, 10-02, 20-01 and subparts, 20-20a, 20-22 and 30-03. Cox said the human resources department is reworking and updating the current policy manual.
Commissioners discussed specific adjustments they wanted in policies 20-01c (religious accommodation) and 20-20 (performance evaluations) before voting. The commission approved the listed policies by a 3-0 vote. No individual employee actions were taken during the meeting.
