Commissioners discussed cost and network access; Commissioner Carla Grund noted the plan would likely increase county costs by about $80,000 compared with the current Blue Cross Blue Shield plan but said the proposed plan "is a simpler and better plan for the employees." Cameron Mullen confirmed that Family Care Clinic at Ottawa County Health Center and All Smiles Dental Care are in-network with the proposed carriers. The commission voted 3-0 to approve the plan with the maximum dental benefit reduced to $1,500 per person.
