The Belvidere City Council approved a packet of general, special and water/sewer expenditures totaling $3,602,872.42 at its July 20 regular meeting. Mayor (presiding) presented the bills and Alderman Peterson moved to approve the general and special fund payments; Alderman Albertini seconded. The roll call returned 10 in favor and the motion passed.
The council then separately approved $1,270,761.42 in water and sewer fund expenditures after a motion by Alderman McGee, seconded by Alderman Peterson; that roll call also showed 10 in favor. The mayor noted the expenditures were available in members' packets and invited questions prior to each vote. No public commenters were registered for this agenda item.
