The Montgomery Planning Commission continued its review of Article 9 (Definitions) and proposed keeping 'campground' defined as one or more campsites while adding a separate definition for 'campsite.' Commissioners discussed amending Section 7.2 to require a WWPWS permit for campgrounds with four or more sites. The draft language would also clarify that shower, toilet and lavatory facilities are not required for sites numbering three or fewer.
Emily KloƯt of the Northwest Regional Planning Commission told commissioners she would check the applicable WWPWS rules and report back by email. The proposal to require a permit for campgrounds with "4+ sites" and to exempt on-site sanitary facilities for three or fewer sites will be revisited once state permitting thresholds are confirmed.
