The annexation items finalize work initiated earlier in the year and, according to staff, total about 27.4 miles being annexed by various cities.
The items were presented as routine consent agenda matters; staff said there is no direct cost to the county for certain annexations and that maps will be prepared early next year to show which roads will be on the county system. Commissioners noted the complexity of patchwork jurisdictional responsibilities for fire and sheriff response and said they appreciate coordination with municipal partners.
