"We will go to council on August 19 for a contract, construction contract for the Main Street boat ramp dredging, the Main Street boat ramp shoreline stabilization," Richard said, describing the project scope and next procedural step. He characterized the low, most-responsive bidder as "a very nice bid" and said staff was pleased with the proposals.
Committee members asked whether funds are already allocated for follow-on amenities tied to dredging (for example, purchase of equipment related to swing-and-bench development); Richard said funding is allocated for some follow-up work and that decisions about additional development will depend on forthcoming council action.
No formal committee vote occurred; the item will be carried to council for formal contract award and subsequent procurement steps.
