Manager Stoltz said the election commissioner wants to convert three part-time roles into a single FTE for warehouse support and that an incumbent is already serving in the part-time role. Stoltz described the change as nearly a fiscal wash. A commissioner asked why the position's language indicates two people must be present at all times, one "Democrat and one Republican." Commissioner Howe responded, clarifying the language requires two people who are not from the same political party and that "unaffiliated" would satisfy the requirement in combination with a major-party member.
The request was presented for informational review ahead of the Nov. 20 agenda; commissioners did not vote during the agenda review.
