County to resubmit RAISE application after strong scoring

Ellen Lin told commissioners the county’s U.S. DOT RAISE application scored very well and staff plan to resubmit the same proposal for the 2025 competition.
"We received top marks in 7 of 8 categories," Lin said, adding that the panel recommended leaving the application unchanged and resubmitting so it advances to the secretary for final consideration. Lin explained the county only needs to score well in six of eight categories to be competitive and urged prompt resubmission to meet federal timelines.
Commissioners accepted the briefing as part of consent/new-business review; no formal county action occurred at this meeting.
