"Our citizen of the year is going to be Nancy Kemnitzer, and our Emeritus citizen of the year is Pam Martore," Peyton Stein said.
Council members praised both nominees and noted the selection process was deliberative. The mayor said the recognition will be included at the annual meeting, which staff expect to hold in late January; specific scheduling is still being finalized. The council approved the nominations by motion and voice vote.
