City Manager provided an update on the Mallard Point development, saying the developer is working on a resubmittal after receiving an incomplete-list letter at the end of October and has set a goal of bringing a final map to the council sometime early next year. "They've communicated that they have set a goal of having the final map rate for council's approval sometime early next year, which is ambitious," the City Manager said.
Staff told the council they are working with the developer to determine which design-review conditions the developer seeks to amend, whether the requested changes are reasonable and within the developer's rights, and which body (planning commission or city council) is the most appropriate forum to review the requests. The City Manager said staff will continue to update the council as the project develops and cautioned timelines are tentative.
