The Town of Edisto Beach held a public hearing on May 14, 2026, at Town Hall to receive public comment on proposed amendments to Ordinance No. 2026-03 (Chapter 86, Article V, Section 14), which covers signs for which a permit is not required. Mayor Crawford Moore called the hearing to order at 5:55 p.m. and briefly summarized the proposed changes, including revised timing for the display and removal of nonprofit event signs and new provisions for the number, size and display period of signs at Bay Creek Park.
There were no comments from the public during the hearing, and Mayor Moore closed the public hearing at 5:56 p.m. The hearing record shows no vote or formal action was taken at the session. Council members Jerome Kizer, Robert Renner, Jay Watts and Joey Bagwell were present. The minutes for the hearing were recorded by the municipal clerk.
