The Shasta Union High School District Governing Board approved Change Order Numbers 1 and 2 for the Shasta High School overflow parking lot, ratifying a net contract increase to Lamb Unlimited of $22,664.05. Associate Superintendent David Flores said striping and directional arrow work was redone to better accommodate traffic flow and that the City of Redding changed driveway slope requirements, necessitating additional work; Flores added the project’s overall cost remains below the original projection.
Separately, the board approved an Architectural Services agreement with Nichols, Melburg & Rossetto (NMR) to perform the investigation and findings phase for districtwide field repair and lighting (RES. 26-033). David Flores said the firm will assess electrical supply, irrigation and field conditions for varsity softball and baseball fields to allow the district to prepare a proper bid package; the district will return with a contract for construction work after the investigative phase.
