Westfir council approves Oakridge law enforcement IGA with 3% fee increase

The Westfir City Council voted to approve a one-year intergovernmental agreement (IGA) with the City of Oakridge for law enforcement services for FY2026–2027.
Police Chief Kevin Martin told the council the contract is substantially the same as the prior year and reflects a 3% increase in fees. Councilor Deretta Huey moved to approve the agreement and Councilor Linda M. Love seconded; the motion carried, 4–0 (Watson, Huey, Love, Mouracade).
The council reviewed the contract in advance of the meeting. No councilor recorded a nay, abstention, or recusal. The approval authorizes continuing Oakridge-provided policing services to Westfir under the terms presented for the coming fiscal year.
