Chair Charlie Harrington framed the suggestion as a continuation of last year's focus with a new emphasis on making recommendations actionable.
"So maybe if last year was specific, actionable, and clear, this year, like, a subtheme could be in inform and improve," Harrington said, outlining proposed next steps such as publication of a clickable lane map, standard signage, and a prioritized list for council consideration. Members also recommended using the lane inventory to inform work at Centennial Park and to coordinate with the city's engineering assessment for longer-term structural repairs.
Wayne Stacy stressed that safety (handrails, stair integrity) should be prominent in any priorities letter, and committee members agreed the survey results should drive prioritization and potential CIP requests. The chair will draft a top-tier inform list and work with staff to prepare a draft letter for sign-off at a special January meeting and eventual presentation to the February city council.
