Consultant presents Westfir Wastewater Facilities Plan; formal adoption tied to Comprehensive Plan update

Clinton Cheney of Civil West Engineering presented the Westfir Wastewater Facilities Plan, describing the planning process, existing infrastructure, planning criteria, identified issues and proposed solutions, and a sewer utility Capital Improvement Plan. The consultant shared slides but lost his Zoom connection; the Council continued following the materials from paper copies distributed before the meeting.
Randy Stark, a Westfir resident and former city councilor, briefly commented on prior Council discussions about sewer infrastructure at the old mill site. City Recorder Nicole Tritten told the Council the plan would be adopted at the same time the City amends its Comprehensive Plan, which has not yet been updated to reflect the current wastewater facility. The Council thanked Mr. Cheney for his work and presentation; no adoption vote occurred at this meeting.
