Planning commission recommends city council adopt updated housing element

Staff recommended the commission adopt the proposed resolution recommending the City Council adopt the housing element; the planning commission voted to forward that recommendation.
Commissioners thanked staff for the multi‑year effort and described the action as a step toward compliance and increased housing planning capacity. The commission’s recommendation means the City Council will next consider adopting the housing element and the implementing zoning‑ordinance amendments needed for HCD certification.
