Resident urges board to address community divisions; commenter invites staff to school play

Two public commenters took the podium during the meeting. Denise Kent Romo introduced herself and invited staff, board members and teachers to join a simple school play that includes Snowglend students and parents.
"I'm Denise Kent Romo. I am up here because I am producing the play this year," Romo said, inviting participation in the event. Later, resident Rodney Zeiss identified himself and urged the board to publicly address an incident he said had divided the community and been told in two different ways. "My whole issue was the 1st thing that divided this community a while back... I heard 2 complete stories and it's saying that same night that were completely different," Zeiss said.
Trustees and other participants pushed back on parts of Zeiss's remarks, noting that video evidence and press statements do not support some of his assertions and reminding commenters that public comment is not an opportunity for the board to take action on items not on the agenda.
