Committee approves budget amendment for employee payouts, repairs

Mr. Stewart reviewed the budget amendment items and told the committee that the adjustments affecting fund balance included final employee payouts for staff who left service and project close-outs. "You had a couple of employee payouts for employees who, left service. And so a budget amendment was needed to make those final payouts for leave," Stewart said. He characterized the other adjustments as routine and noted that some smaller adjustments did not affect fund balance and only required manager approval.
Following the presentation, members moved and seconded the budget amendment and approved it by voice vote. Committee members received assurance that staff would continue reviewing budget lines and that the amendment did not reveal material irregularities beyond the identified payouts and repairs.
