Trustees discussed a community concern about a projection room that was not originally called out as a character-defining feature. "The impacts of the project can therefore be considered mitigated to a less than significant impact," Presenter Joe said while describing the consultant's conclusion that the project meets the secretary of interior standards.

Approval shortens the timeline for design and permits by avoiding an extended environmental review, but the board asked staff to document the projection-room concern in the administrative file so the record reflects the community input.
