Staff said the Planning & Zoning Commission unanimously recommended approval, including a waiver of public sidewalk installation because the nearest sidewalk is approximately 2,000 feet away.
The council also approved the Ladner Land minor plat to reconfigure property at 123–129 Knox Highway 31 into two lots (an approximately 49.20‑acre northern lot to be retained by the current owner and a lot to be sold to the owner's son); Planning & Zoning recommended approval and a sidewalk waiver. Separately, Mayor Schwartzman nominated Charles (Chuck) Reynolds for the Ward 3 council seat; council members voted unanimously to confirm him and staff said they would set up his city email and onboarding before the next meeting.
